We currently have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting into the Supply Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the overall supply plan for our frozen category.
The Supply Planner is responsible for the medium term (12 months) tactical and long term (5 years) strategic supply plan. You will be responsible for the preparation of a capacity constrained master production schedule for the rolling 12-month horizon and a master production schedule for months 13-60 levelled according to the S&OP Business Planning Rules.
You will be responsible for communicating risks to supply together with options and recommendations through the S&OP process. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring two direct reports, the Lead Scheduler and Scheduler. Additionally, you will be responsible for executing the continuous improvement program for supply planning processes developed with the Supply Planning Manager.
Note, this role can be located in either Colac or Derrimut (with regular travel required between Bulla manufacturing sites)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review daily balanced scorecard (CSL, Schedule Adherence/Stability, etc) and provide analysis and insights as required
- Liaise with Lead Production Scheduler/ Production Scheduler to balance the short-term supply and demand based on SAP reporting/transaction
- Liaise with Senior Demand Planner to balance the medium to long term supply and demand based on SAP reporting/transactions
- Ensure we manage abnormal demand via the FCN’s process and feedback from the Production Scheduler is communicated to key stakeholders with 24hrs
- Prepare weekly reports, formalise options and recommendations to resolve supply issues; and escalate to Weekly Control Meeting
- Drive executing the continuous improvement program for supply planning processes developed with the Supply Planning Manager
- Prepare and publish Medium-and Long-Term Plan reports
- Prepare and publish Supply Projections
- Facilitate chair (site leader) briefing to ensure alignment of key assumptions, issues and decisions required for the site Pre-NSR Review
- Prepare for and facilitate site Pre-NSR Review
- Develop, facilitate and contribute to IFR’s for decision making as appropriate
- Provide Senior Demand Planner with inventory and capacity exceptions and demand related decisions from the monthly S&OP cycle
- Provide and manage the NPD Launch to Market timeline for new product launches and product deletions
- Review all supply planning parameters and escalate issues with lead times, lot sizes etc
- Manage, Coach and Mentor direct reports
- Participate in the annual PDP reviews process supported by weekly and monthly performances processes
You will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Supply Planning role
- A detailed and practical understanding of the FMCG supply chain planning
- A detailed working knowledge of effective Master Scheduling and Rough-Cut Capacity Planning techniques
- A detailed working knowledge of advanced planning concepts and processes
- Detailed knowledge of key business ERP systems preferably including SAP
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills.
- Well-developed logical and lateral thinking skills with solutions focus
- Strong analytical thinking, analytical and numeracy skills
- Ability to analyse and summarise complex information to key stakeholders in a timely manner
- Advanced competency in Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effectiveness in managing internal and external relationships.
- Capacity to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels of the business
- Current driver’s license and roadworthy vehicle
- Inter site travel on a Weekly basis
